Chairs

We found these great chairs a while ago in a dusty cellar. Apparently they are Parker chairs and in much demand at the moment. I can see why. For a month I thought about the fabric I wanted to cover them with. The reddish wood worked well with pale greens. I stuck sketches of my ideas for prints to the chairs, so we had flapping A4 paper to sit on for a while. It helped to have a visual reference. I wanted them to be "easy on the eye." Not to precious as I want to feel like I can use them. So I did not freak too much when Sequoia drew on them with a black texta. Hand made is hand made after all. :)

I printed the linen fabric which I have shown in an earlier blog post.

They are comfortable and very "me" which I can see now. You can buy a similar print here. Only five left so if you think you might want one? Go for it.

wow the chairs are stunning!! they look great. I have been meaning to let you know for a week (sorry) my gorgeous koala and owl softie fabric arrived I LOVE IT thank you. soooo gorgeous

Fabulous. I love the design of the chair for starters and I adore your choice in fabric. Very creative and fresh. I however have wooden chairs solely because of my daughter Hannah's creative side. :-)

They look gorgeous. My parents have got parker chairs :) Did you do it yourself? Great job. And good to hear I'm not the only one whose daughter thinks her dining chairs need extra decoration...
