Owl and Koala softie quilt

The Avalon Market were huge, a vast market which filled the streets with all kind of stands. It was warm, ok hot, but we lucked a tree and caught the breeze all day which was lovely. The many people browsing and buying in the market were largely tomato faced and beaded with sweat. I had my fix of faces. People glowing, others gasping at the colours and touching everything while others were confused—"you sell fabric"? I did enjoy putting names to faces. Good of you to come out.

With Markets I am wondering why? Should I? What will be bought? Or can people find me, wander past me on the web? That said I am going to the Finders Keepers market next weekend and I am stitching and cutting and making. Crystal ball time, what will sell? So if you mention you read my blog I will give away a free Santa Stocking with big purchases on the day.

I am donating the quilt in the last post with Parrots for the raffle at Finders Keepers. Two dollars from each raffle ticket go to Oxfam and I like to give back.

Hi Saffron, I was talking about you today to a girlfriend as I receive you newsletter via e-mail (which I love). I was literally at the Avalon Market for an hour and a half as I had my two boys with me (9 and 6) and it was full-on (I must have been crazy). With all those stalls, the one and only thing my 9 year old would not leave without was one of your owl/teddy softies. In the end I bought the fabric from you (and you threw in a gorgeous fairy santa sack) and my beautiful boys made their softies with their Nan just before Christmas. My 9 year old even sewed his teddy himself!! I adore them as much as they do! Thank you again for your kindness. You deserve success as your product is fabulous. Kindest, Prux
