Sewing with Valley View
Over the past few days I been cutting into the Valley View farbics, the printer sent me 50cm of each fabric to approve, which I happily did. Once I had finished photographing all the Valley View fabrics I started to cut them up to make a start with sewing them. I am really thrilled with the vibrant colours. I noticed that as I am sewing this range I feel really happy.
The Scrappy Trip Along quilts came to mind as was I cutting my first 3inch strips from the range.
I am calling this growing quilt The Small Yellow Kiss, a yellow "X" symbolising the kiss. All seven fabrics from Valley View are used in this baby girl quilt. The mum adores bright colours and emailed me on first sight—requesting a quilt for her baby girl. Well it feels great to have made a start on the sewing.
It will grow into a 1m square quilt.
This pic is from my Instagram feed. There is a very enthusastic and growing craft community on Instagram, you can follow on Instagram here at saffroncraig. If you are using the app why not be friends?
Bolts of fabric appeared in my studio today. Now I have Valley View fabric to sew into all sorts of ideas.
I will be sending out the bundles of Valley View in the post today. Postage rates in Australia just went up 30%. Crazy. And even crazier I'm offering free postage in my online shop for a short time.
