Art Quilting

Over the last month, I have been happily turning some of my hand painted fabrics into an art quilt.

It's one of my new quilts which I am using to advertise my classes for AQC Melbourne  2017.

This one has taken a lot of nights to come this far. I'm embracing the Slow stitching movement :). For weeks I've been hand stitching with the Perle thread or embroidery floss and more often the wonderfilll threads. Swapping changing my threads, experimenting as I learn what I like to use the most.  It’s been a revelation using the Japanese Sashiko Needles by Olympus.

Melbourne July 28-31

I'm getting organised to fly down to Melbourne. My boxes are packed and ready to be shipped and my twice daily workshops are filling up. I'm excited.
