When I grow up I want to be a fashion designer—Spotty Dotty Flower Dress

I suppose I am all grown up now? Well that's what the mirror says, but some part of me is still having a lot of fun thinking about growing up—and wondering about my childhood dreams.

Yes I do still love fashion, I enjoy reading about beautiful unique clothes, cutting edge designers and in particular designers who use prints, colours and all kinds of fabrics.

I enjoy making my own clothing and wearing what I make. I tend to like to make clothing that is easy for me to wear and feels comfortable. I like to add pockets and steer away from zips.

This slip dress is made with my Spotty Dotty Flowers fabric, it has been lovely to wear,  the organic cotton fabric is so soft. Now that it is cooling down into the winter months I bought a pair of purple opaque tights to wear with the dress, I am keeping an eye out for another pair in yellow or mustard for contrast and fun worn with high boots.

Patrick took this photo of me wearing my new dress while we were wandering around the city over the weekend. The autumn leaves spiralling from the trees.

I am indeed all grown up.

The Spotty Dotty fabric is available in my online fabric shop.
