Fujiwo Ishimoto—Inspirational Textile Artist

Posted on July 25, 2013 by Saffron Craig | 3 comments

Fujiwo Ishimoto is a Japanese born fabric designer. He moved to Finland for 40 years to create wonderful fabric designs. Working with companies such as Marimekko, you will recognise his works. He is amazing.

He is known for being a recluse with a quiet and very shy nature. Finally he has agreed to a book—yes this is his first book. The book includes both his past and his current work.

I have been thumbing it lovingly, so much so, that I wanted to share it with you. The text is mainly in Japanese but the images are worth buying it for. It's Beautiful.
