Western Australia Adventures

I've just come back from a wonderful 3 week holiday in WA visiting my sisters family, we were joined by Patricks family from Holland so in total we were 11. We enjoyed daily adventuring. 4W-driving to remote places, long coastal cliff walks, swimming in the rough oceans that Tim Winton so perfectly writes about. Precious family time together, they grow up overnight- I treasure them so much and miss them already.

Other highlights included connecting with nature, the tall trees, the empty beaches, stroking the back of huge stingrays as they glided past our feet, it truly was wonderful. I even got to feed Joey's with milk. Such sweet baby kangaroos.

Oh and the food we ate so much food.

I deleted Facebook and Instagram from my phone for the time away and didn't check my emails. I didn't miss them very much!

On a creative level, when I had precious time alone usually in the heat of the day, I drew and painted the bright rugged dessert like ancient coast lines of WA. Smoke was in the air. The fires so bad and so sad. I created nearly 40 paintings. All experimental. Some I gifted as a thanks. One  painting was received with such gratitude like I've never seen before. It made my heart soar.

I'm still inspired by pinks and yellow.
